All learned people all over the world have accepted that in Indian progeny, Vedas are most ancient volumes. Vedas are basic principles in human civilization and development. They contain exhortation for human existence. Right from the human impregnation and birth through his life until his death, everything is ascertained in Vedas. The 16 embellishments or spiritual exhortations are known as "Upanishadhas". With the help of this divine knowledge, humans get the perception of the God, the eternal spirit, which in common terms is known as "Bekuntha" or "Moksha". In Vedas Upanishadhas are ultimate. Thus in Vedas, everything in regard to human welfare is ascertained. Vedas also explain national or universal religion.
The following hymn of Yajurveda explains the complete description of ideal national religion. It says that the Brahmins in this nation may get divine knowledge. It describes that Brahmins in this nation have God’s glory, energy and invigoration. Kshatriyas of the nation should be brave, great warriors, and have excellent health. Women in this nation or universe be beautiful, radiant, and victorious. Youth of the nation be brave. There should be sufficient rain, good lands producing enough grains and the nation be prosperous.
The hymn in Yajurveda calls us national religion, which explains the welfare of the whole nation. Our Vedas do not contain any narrow or illiberal motive or idea, but explains good and well being of the whole human being. Vedas give the message of national welfare and unity of the world. Utilizing this message in practical aspect, they have set a grand message for the whole world. We find the description of these hymns in Rigvedas.
Vedas state that we all stay together. People stay content in their religion, decide one thing and stick to that thing. The God gets involved with the feelings of worshipper and accepts the oblations, in the same way, we have to forget the differences among the people and accept the nice things.
Our minds should think in the same way. Perception should be same for all. All hearts should have the feeling of welfare of others; this feeling should be same for all. All hearts be devoted to the God. Intellect and wisdom of man have made him look up to as an ideal with determination, power of speech, and his deeds. Nationalization of one thing can bring space to the whole society. If we lead our lives obeying the above-mentioned hymns, it is as clear as sunlight that human beings will become happy and then it will be a good society to live in. Rig Vedas say that all hearts be one, living be one. Everybody’s heart be generous and understanding. All these above-stated statements are examples of an ideal society, which in every way is for human welfare. All books on Vedas are created in regard to well-being and happiness of humans. Like it is written that animals be considered and treated like human beings, but which we do not follow considering the hymn as old and outdated and give importance to personal happiness and luxuries. But still minds are not satisfied and we are not ready to accept this very truth. Yet there is one divine thing with which everybody can experience true satisfaction and peace. With all these uncertainties and fears, we get solution by understanding Vedas and not by our own conscience. If we all start behaving according to the Vedas, all distress and disguise we experience in today’s life will be gone. In newspaper headlines everyday we read cases happening like murder, robbery, dacoit, rape, kidnapping, etc. and we are getting used to reading such things. We avoid and forget these things, we do not follow or undertake the steps to stop them. For such inhumanity, some people put their efforts in social as well as religious ways, but with only these people’s efforts we are not getting success in stopping or even in reducing such tragedies. That means we should try and bring the things ascertained in Vedas to the present time. We can teach our child at home with the help of Vedas. Unless and until the parents do not teach Vedas to the child his mind would be unaware of human embellishment. It is scientifically proven that whatever the child learns in his early childhood, it follows the same things throughout his life. It is a request to all the parents in the world that they should teach their children human values described in Vedas with the help of religious books of whatever religion they follow. This is the way we can stop our society from ruining. All religions in the world are ascertained in regard to well-being and welfare of humans. This is a kind request to all Indians that we all together should try to implement and expand our religion and be determined about the welfare of our nation as well as the whole world. Maharaj Manu has described 10 characteristics of human welfare religion in his religious milestone book Manusmruti.
The books says everybody be happy. Nobody in this world be unhappy and everybody may have good thoughts. All eyes may search and get the direction of good and be away from bad. Meaning their eyes should always pursue with good wishes and desire. In ancient Indian literature including Vedas till Ashthadash Puranas (ancient books on religion) and all other volumes tell about well being of others, which we can national or human religion. If we pursue and implement these things by our own consequence, we definitely can help humanity in this changing situation keeping benevolence in mind, we have to help this world full of humans and we will be able to perform this divine task with the help of exhortation by great men. If we decide to take up this task as per our time and convenience, our society will surely experience peaceful life. The creator or Ashthadash Puranas, Vyasa gives evidence of well-being of others.
Courage, tolerance, control over greed, no robbery, sensual, verbal, and mental holiness, control over all senses, knowledge, persuasion, truthfulness, and lack of anger are 10 characteristics of religion. In fact these characteristics are helpful in personal life as well as in well-being of others. Creator of ancient human books, Maharaj Manu has described the facts of practical or customary life. All the religions as well as common people have accepted the importance of this creation of Maharaj Manu. Indian society and culture have been designed according to Vedas and religious books from the West in regard to national and human welfare. These books do not contain any negative statements, but they explain the happiness and peace for the people of all classes and backgrounds. We may not follow them in the name of individual idealism, but we will succeed in destroying divine sayings by these great people. We find the evidence ascertained of the same things in "Ram Charit Manas", a great poetry by a great poet, Mahamuni Tulsidas. The "Ram Charit Manas" accept the fact that when all people in society live with the thoughts of well-being of others, everybody experiences happiness and peace. And at the same time the feeling of the well-being of others grows. In short it means that in society when we are complementary to each other nobody will be unhappy. Indian thought process has been ascertained on the basis of psychology. We are not able to understand it because we are not true to each other and to ourselves at the present time. We have always criticized injustice of which we get evidence in all out books. A person who does it gets destroyed.
Maharaj Manu says a person who gets anything through or with the help of injustice gets destroyed after some time.
Maharaja Bhartuhari also tells the same thing. He says activities of daily living of a human and an animal are same, i.e. eating, drinking, sleeping, death except the characteristic custom of practice of religion. A person who does not follow it is considered as an animal. Thus we can see that one who does not follow the religion duties is called an animal.
Yet humanity is not all about religion. To implement the above things, the most important aspect is physical, verbal, and mental purity. The things that we do not like should not be practiced with others too. Just we do not create universal togetherness, but it is created for the whole human being, which we call human religion, national religion, etc.
Religion is what gives us strength. Maharshi Karnad also says religion awakes people to do good things. Human religion is related to the well-being of others in the same way the body is related to soul.
Mahabharata says religion gives us strength; religion brings about an awakening in you. Religion, which is determined, is a true religion.
In Bhagvatgeeta, Lord Shri Krishna condemns the things due to which people tend to forget their religion and go wrong ways and due to unsocial elements get distracted from their religion. To avoid these things, Lord Krishna says in Bhagvatgeeta:
Thinking about the things brings temptations of the respective aspects, which awakens desire. And any obstruction in fulfilling this desire brings anger. Anger brings silliness, which in turn wakens our memory. And this memory loss brings demolition of brain and conscience, which leads to total destruction of human being. Thus temptations are so dangerous that they lead the man to total demolition.
Narad Bhakti also mentions temptation, anger, greed, and memory loss as the reasons of total destruction.
Shrimad Bhagvat Mahapuranas emphasize the importance of religion implemented according to Vedas, He is the one who exhorts the religion and implements and recommends the same. Human religion is also ascertained in Yadnyavalkya.
Vedas generously give their opinion on humanity and recognize the deeds of human walfare.
The word religion means to accept and to wear. Thus the religion is the element, which wears and takes up the service of human life and without which life is not possible. Religion is the element that makes everything under control, in good order, and good conduct. God explains humanity in all creations. Religion is universal and not private. Maharshi Valmik describes Lord Rama as virtuous and pious. When enemy Ravana’s brother surrendered to Lord Rama, he gave him protection and saved his life. Thus obeying the religion, Lord Rama forgave and saved the life of his enemy’s brother.
All Indian books contain humanity as a religion in every aspect, which needs no proof to conclude that humanity is the principle and essential religion.
All creations by great ancients of the world contain universal welfare and human well being and none of these contain their own personal thought process. Vedas are useful and helpful in entire political as well as human religion because they, including Rigvedas, state well-being and happiness of the others and thus the whole world. This is a kind statement that importance and usefulness of Vedas is universal and is for all human life.
Vedas are not created by human and because of that they are a form of God. Deeds, worship, and knowledge are the three aspects of Vedas. These three aspects of Vedas can give human life safety; protection, peace, happiness and can take away our sorrows. They rejoice in a right direction. Using Vedas in all aspects of life is a benediction for humans.
